My favorite cars

I'd say that I am more of a 'domestic' type – be it where I live.

I love the simplicity of the approach Americans have taken to their automotive design, particularly in their visual department (because all the other departments should be fired).

I equally appreciate the thought and refinement that's put into anything Germans touch.

Well, and Italians always seem to add a bit of flavor to everything they do, too.

Most of all I love collaborations and unique projects.

1996 Dodge Viper GTS (blue w/white stripes)

Without a doubt, the 1996 Dodge Viper GTS (blue w/white stripes) is, and always has been, at the top of my 'favorites list' from the early childhood. The unmistakable styling by Carroll Shelby himself and 'just the right' amount of Dodge... this vehicle embodies the definition of distinct perfection in the automobile world. A true legend.

P.S. Did I mention the powerplant?

2006 Hummer H1 Wagon 6.6L (gray)

2006 Hummer H1 Wagon 6.6L (gray). This one has also been at the top of my favorites ever since my childhood – to me, this is the definition of what an off-road vehicle should be.

2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette OSV

2003 Pontiac Montana Thunder in black. I never got into SUVs – they always felt too bulky, while not being overly roomy, so being a father of three, I prefer the #vankulture scene. This is the most highly optioned minivan of its time: fully independent (aluminum arms) sports suspension featuring VersaTrack AWD, special two-tone black/gray leather interior, heated front seats, backup sensor, towing package, roof spoiler, OnStar, air compressor + self-adjustable rear air suspension, 16" chrome 5-spoke wheels (available on Thunder package only), 4-wheel disc brakes (others had drums in the back). Thunder was a rare package and as a result very few vehicles were produced – especially with this color combination, which makes this one of the most rare vans on the road today.

2008 Pontiac G8 GXP (orange)

2008 Pontiac G8 GXP, in orange. I instantly fell in love with this sedan the moment I laid my eyes on it. If I could have only one sedan, this would be it.

Jeep SRT-8

Bavarian Alps, 6:12PM. Jeep SRT-8 escapes the brewing winter storm, as it effortlessly rumbles on after overtaking a hauler on a steep, narrow incline. Arguably the best sound one can experience in a factory SUV... Grab wallpaper on ILTWMT.

2006 Pontiac GTO (cosmos purple)

2006 Pontiac GTO (cosmos purple) is the definition of a compact sleeper. And you can never go wrong with a sleeper – granted it looks this good!

2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette OSV

1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette OSV. I'm a sucker for unique vehicles, and it doesn't get much more unique than the 1-of-3 Solhouettes that were produced as concept vehicles through GM's OSV (Oldsmobile Special Vehicle) division. Mine is #3 of 3, and as far as I can tell, the only road legal one as others were given salvage titles (and were driven around in a truck to auto shows). Upgrades include: custom metallic red paint with ghosted Oldsmobile logos on each side, 19" RH Evolution C6 wheels featuring Oldsmobile center caps, 13" Brembo cross-drilled discs on each wheel, Koni coilover struts and springs, 255/40/19 Pilot XGT Z4 tires, custom hood, rear door with embedded spoiler + bumpers, side skirts, 6 custom Recaro seats (heated and cooled), Borla center-exhaust with custom headers, OSV fender badges. This vehicle was part of the GM Heritage Collection; now it's part of my collection, so keep your eyes peeled – you might just see it somewhere between California and Alberta (but not in a trailer)! ;)

1971 Custom Buick Riviera

1971 Buick Riviera (deep metallic purpleblack) has got to be the hottest custom classic – I wouldn't change a thing.

2003 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG in black would be my choice of a German sedan. Lean enough to be fast, big enough to fit three child car seats in a row.
